God's wrath verses God's love

Yom Kippur and Repentance

I have been reading over the last several months and watching videos about the warnings of four blood moons and Yom Kippur; and how the judgment of God is going to fall or something catastrophic is going to happen.  For those who may not know what Yom Kippur is, it’s a time that Jewish people set aside to forgive and repent and turn back to God.

Throughout history some pretty astonishing things have occurred around these dates.  With everything that has been unfolding in the United States and abroad especially with the direct threat of Iran on America and Israel many prophecies have created fear in people.

What I don’t understand about this, is it appears that some have prepared by removing money out of accounts and stocking up on food and water and preparing for an economic collapse or war that would cause drastic things to change.

I find it difficult to understand why believers think they need to stock up on stuff they cannot take with them in the rapture?   Since this seems to be what many of the prophets are assuming is bound to happen?  Let me go on further to say that God never called us as His children and disciples to scare people to the cross.  The love of God will never be appropriately demonstrated in fear to those who do not have a relationship with Him.  YES the Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom but that is a different place of relationship.

First, one must come to know Him through His love; because honestly if someone is not saved the judgment of God on them will be the same regardless of what kind of life they are living.  Because bottom line is they have rejected Him and His sacrifice.  However the fear of the Lord truly begins the relationship with the one who accepts Him as Lord and Savior. This is because we have made a covenant to serve Him in spirit and truth and if we do not abide in Him and His ways we will be judged by our actions.

“But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” –Luke 12:48

I don’t feel like the world needs anymore fear than it already has; there is so much turmoil abroad right now, not only economically but spiritually, governmentally, illnesses, diseases and basically everything that has been placed on the nature of man since Adam and Eve separated themselves by sin.  Sin is poison and as long as the world is infused with it, the only hope we have is in the love of Christ.
As the days seem to be shifting us into another era, we must hold onto the words that God spoke to us “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm…Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar; let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, and do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?” Joel 2 12-17

Unfortunately, I see a lot of ministers doing the exact opposite of what the Lord instructs us to do in the scriptures.  If they go around claiming this is going to happen on this day and that is going to happen on that day and nothing happens it creates a mockery of God and His plan.  We are not to wait and plead for the day of judgment, we are to be about His business leading as many people as we can out of the snares of the enemy and into the arms of Grace and Mercy only found in Christ alone.

We are not going to draw people to the cross by speaking of possible catastrophic events that are Biblically telling of end time scenarios.  There is not going to be anything on this Earth that will happen that will be worse than Eternal separation from God.  Not even the authentication of hell will bring more remorse than an Eternal separation from Almighty God.
Let us demonstrate the call of God on every person’s heart for His desire is that none should perish but all have Eternal life through repentance.  Let Yom Kippur be a time of repentance not only for the Jewish people but for ALL people and pray that God turn this people and Nations abroad back to Him not through events of turmoil, but through the heartfelt realization of how much He loves them.

Gap Standers Used as Spit

The Bible calls us out in Ezekiel 22:30 a verse that happens to be of great significance to the Body of Christ. Some people say that God doesn’t need us to accomplish His work. However, this verse says "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."
The next verse goes on to say what will happen if we do not step up. "Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD."

What God is saying is that if a soul is not led in the right direction He will pour out His shame upon them and their punishment will be eternal damnation. "Their own way" is referring to their sin, the sin that is not repented of in their life because no one was there to show them which way to go.

I heard a pastor say once, "Someone’s victory is relying on your obedience." Think about that just for a minute. If you feel led to speak a word to someone and you are obedient and sensitive He could use you to save that person at that specific appointed time.

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is in Matthew Chapter 8 vs. 23-27 where the people brought a blind man unto Jesus. It reads as follows, "And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. He looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that He put His hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.”

The Bible calls us to be the salt of the Earth. We are placed in a position to lead people to a governed body for the sake of Christ. I don’t care if they go to your church or not, this is not a competition. It is our duty as Christians to point them in the right direction to a place where they can grow and learn the Word. They may first enter in with blurred vision but faith comes by hearing the Word taught.

We are made from the dust of the earth and we shall be returned to the dust of earth that of which is our flesh when we die (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Did you know that our saliva is made up of salt components? I don’t find strange, Matthew 5:13 "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men."

What God is basically saying here is this, if we have lost our desire to lead people to Christ and we are not standing in the gap who else will? How will He share His message to a lost and dying world, unless we point people in His direction?Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour."

Jesus spit and touched his eyes once and his vision was blurry. Since we are the salt (saliva) and the vessel of dust in which we carry the treasure of Jesus, God wants to use us to create that first touch. The second time Jesus touched his eyes he used only His hand and the man could see completely clear. Pastors, Evangelists, Preachers, Teachers and Prophets, they are there to open their eyes by faith, by simply touching their eyes with the Word so that they can move forward in this walk with clear vision.

When this man whose sight was restored returned to his town people saw that he was made new. Can others see a difference in you since your first touch from Christ? The Bible says that only God can remove the blinders from a man’s eyes. Have you ever thought we may very well be those blinders because our life does not reflect a difference to the world? Once He moves you He has a tool to move someone else. If you need a second touch from God to be made new in Him step out in faith today and you will see a world of difference, literally.

To Judge or Not to Judge Seems to be the Question.

Caution Signs and Warnings

All of us need to speak the truth online and in public and use every avenue possible to try to reach the masses. The road to destruction is wide and many are being blind sided by the veil that is over their eyes.

Yes we love them! Yes we are sharing the truth in love, people are getting so confused as people who are supposed to be of the faith by twisting the plucked out meaning of "thou shalt not judge".  To those people; God already set His word as a guide so HE is the judge of the outline that we are sharing- if you want to accuse others of judging read the word yourself.

Judging with a righteous judgment is sharing His truth exactly how He stated it. A life of sin will lead you to hell un repented and not turned away from . Not to mention His word says we will judge angels, it's time to wake the people of God up and fulfill the commission.

"Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"  I Corinthians 6:3

God did not send His Son for us to debate whether or not we are supposed to judge others- God sent His Son to die on the cross because HE LOVED us that much!!! He doesn't want anyone to go hell, He didn't want to send a flood! He didn't want to separate Himself in the cool of the day from Adam and Eve! He didn't want to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah by raining sulfur of fire! God doesn't want anyone to die and go to hell. He also doesn't want people to continue in sin. However, He has given man freewill from day one- supplying them with everything they would need to be satisfied and yet they always want what they are supposed to stay away from.

There is a remnant however that He will return for and it will come like the twinkling of an eye and every knee will bow and tongue confess- He is Lord. What we are commissioned to do is try to get them to see the importance and gratification that comes with realizing this so that when He arrives He is also their Savior.

If you want to be a Christian that loves people you need to be prepared to tell them the truth! Watering scriptures down so that others will like you is not what God desires of us. Don't be intimidated by those who accuse you because they don't want to be convicted. When you stand before the throne room of Grace you want God to see you have clean hands that you shared His truth in every possible way you could.

Though you will come against accusations and many internationally already being killed for being professors of the faith we must keep heart. This life is but a vapor and the time will come when He calls us all away. Until that day let's be about our Father's business.

Sharing this video from Clayton Jennings please share this; you never know who it will reach.

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." Revelation 12:10

He Loves Us All

Christian's, Homosexuals, God and the White House

On this day as a Nation we have managed to display once the most respected house in the United States to a mere laughing stock of spiritual disintegration. Not only does this manifest the belittlement of the majority of the Nation's people, it also represents the unrelenting segregation of marking Christians as intolerant, homophobic, religiously judgmental people who love everyone but gay people.

Anyone who has access online can see how this has brought about righteous discontent in the Christian community, along with celebratory excitement in the LGBT community. I myself have friends I have known for many years who are homosexuals who I care deeply for and who I respect though I don't condone how they live. I also have several friends who are not homosexual who I care deeply about who also do things I don't condone.

That does not by any means reflect that I think less of them as a person. It just means that in my spiritual life I pray that one day they find who Christ desires them to be.
One cannot fault a Christian for loving someone enough to care for their Eternal soul. Whether one believes in God or not does not eliminate the fact that more than 83 percent of the United States alone claims "Christianity" as their faith.

One has to understand that just because Christians do not condone "sin" which is what any form of sexual immorality is, does not mean we don't love the person committing it. That being said, homosexuals must understand that marriage was created as a sacred Union before God and therefore though they may now be approved by a constitutional law to say I do. That signed piece of paper will never in God's court pass as a blessed union in His eyes. Therefore since He is the one who created us to begin with, and our Constitution says that we have to separate church and state; well then that pretty much nullifies your nuptials making it a court ordered governmental agreement.

I would also like to take this time to congratulate Obama on being the first modern day Nebuchadnezzar.  You see he stands in this kingdom now decorated in rainbow colors that he has fabricated and in his mind believes the people are actually the ones who put him there and he has accomplished his indignation from the masses all by himself.  What some people have yet to realize is that he has created a blazing pathway for the wrath of God to fall upon America in a way that no one in this generation has ever seen, nor will see again.
“Today, we can say in no uncertain terms that we have made our union a little more perfect," Obama said."
God throughout history has sent Prophets to proclaim the truth in the land, to send warnings and to call people to repentance.  As the Rabbi in the video pleaded with those on capital hill; the presence of God was felt by many.  This was WEEKS before the White House so blatantly ridiculed the majority of those in favor of keeping the Constitutional Laws of the Marriage Union protected.

With that being said, Christians need to realize that though we desire our Nation to have the protective hand of God over us as a people; the Bible is clear that man removes that covering when we open ourselves up to His wrath through great acts of disobedience. As a Nation we have succeeded at many things in our great history. The unfortunate aspect of our Nation at the moment is that we are fulfilling what the great wise King Solomon so graciously stated himself.
"History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new." Ecclesiastes 1:9
When God sends people to speak to those in charge of the foundation by which we operate as a Nation and the warning goes ignored, it has been proven time and time again back to the days of Moses God will not sit idly by and watch us pervert what was meant to be Holy and constitute it as law.

With the blood of millions of children on our hands, greed in our pockets and wickedness in the hearts of
men.
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.- Matthew 24:37
This blog in no way shape or form is meant to insult or isolate anyone.  Sometimes when things are written the context by which we are expressing our hearts can be misunderstood greatly.  Therefore I also created a video to add to this in order to better try to emote my heart and my concern.  Not only for the sake of the discontented Christian, but also for the sake of those who feel we have marked them as "the enemy" of our faith.  I will post the video tomorrow but for now I leave you with this.

This is not a battle between the "Christian agenda" and the "Homosexual agenda".  It's not a war between left and right wing extremists. This is a spiritual warfare to break us down as a Free Nation and divide us and separate us into groups that do not accept one another under any circumstances.

Jesus stands with His arms wide open on the cross; willing to accept all who come to Him with a heart of repentance.  Sin in any form can be forgiven if we turn away from it and walk with Him.  As Jim Daly from Focus on The Family states in the video below, God is the ultimate judge. Until then we must love one another and for those of us who are Christians seeking God's forgiveness for our Nation for all of it's wrongful actions ask Him to heal our land and forgive us for not fearing His ruling over our decisions as a people.
"But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." -11 Peter 3:7

What's In Your Soil?

Are you a Skinny Dipper or a Chunky Dunker?

Not to long ago I was praying about what to title my next article.  My husband and I along with a couple friends walked into a flea market and saw a sign that said,
“I don’t skinny dip, I chunky dunk!”

I laughed for about fifteen minutes as I walked around looking at other things in the store, as we were leaving I said; that’s it! They asked me what I was talking about and I told them, “That is the title God just gave me for my next article!”

I want to start this off by asking if any of you have ever taken care of a plant? I personally have two plants in our home. One of them is a vine plant, (don’t ask any specifics) and the other is called a praying plant. The praying plant is truly the only plant I have ever become attached to.

I believe the only reason it has lasted as long as it has is because it prays.  I do not have a green thumb as I heard Pastor Tommy Tenney state once, I believe my thumb is brown as well.  I am not sure if you know much about these praying plants, but they have two shapes.  When it is resting it's stems and leaves are drooping down, to the point it almost appears dead.  When it is praying it's stems and leaves are raised upward and reaching out.

This plant is special to me because it originally only received a tad bit more attention from me, slightly above what a fake plant would, yet it still continued to blossom and grow. It’s roots continued to expand and it was determined to grow stronger and stronger regardless of the attention it did or did not receive.

I just recently relocated it into its third pot. It was originally on our kitchen table, but it got to the point where it covered the whole table. Now it has taken residence in the corner of our living room, where it proudly sits steadily trying to reach its fourth pot.  I make sure this plant gets watered and cared for properly now. I prune it often, pulling the dead leaves off, even when it doesn’t know they are there. I am proud to say it is a very beautiful plant.

It is ironic that many times as children of God we sometimes are left feeling like this plant. We feel God is not taking care of us. This often occurs during some of the most important growing seasons of our lives. I remember back when I first truly surrendered my life to the Lord I struggled with many things. I would hear some deacons say during offering,
“ If you are having trouble in your life or if you can’t pay your bills, something is wrong with your tithe.”

I would like to at this moment pause and tip my index finger to my forehead and point toward these people and say, “Top o’ the morning to ya chief!” That is my sarcastic way of saying, “YOU SUCK” or if I was talking to someone I know in a light hearted way that means, “Take that weirdo!”

A person can be tithing and struggle in many different areas of life. God can bless us in many ways that we don’t even see yet when we stay faithful regardless of present circumstances or situations. Don’t you ever let a man question your obedience based on lack of present situations. That is exactly what Jobs “friends” did to him. People like that and churches that allow those in leadership to do that to others angers me. They can actually push people away from the Lord doing that.

We are all plants in different sized pots. We all go through different growing seasons based on the type of “plant” that God designed us to be. The Word says we are to “study to show ourselves approved” (II Timothy 2:15) and that “we are destroyed by lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). It doesn’t say to study only if someone else is giving us something to study or to only receive the knowledge that a “Pastor” or “Teacher” pours in our lives.

On the contrary it tells us to be careful not to fall away and be led astray by false teachers and false prophets. (II Peter 2:1) That is why many will be destroyed for lack of knowledge because many are being misguided because they are following after a man (Colossians 2:8), rather than following after God, in the steadfastness of Christ.

Through our walk we will go through different seasons of growing. God may have to move our roots somewhere else. Sometimes a plant (Christian) can only grow so much at a specific church. Not that there is anything wrong with the church, but you may be unable to move forward in your walk because the one who you are currently under may not have a big enough “pot” so to speak for your roots to expand out in.

That is why sometimes God has to uproot you and plant you in another pot where you can begin another maturing process. The sad part of this process is that certain pots (Pastors) don’t realize they are all on the same team. In other words Pastors tend to get caught up with wanting to keep all the plants they can to themselves, forgetting the harvest only belongs to one and that is God Himself.

If a Pastor isn’t careful all the “decorative plants” in his church will be exactly that.  We are not called to fill a church with a bunch of plants. We are called to continue planting seeds, cultivating communities and reaching out.

Manipulation is the same as witchcraft according to I Samuel 15:23. If someone is accountable for another person and misleads or misdirects them out of selfish ambition and that person isn’t obedient to what God wants them to do, that man or woman will answer for that person or people when judgment day arises.

I know that as long as I continue to nurture the vine plant it will mature accordingly to its fullest potential. However it has never moved from its original pot. I have spent more time tending to this one than I have the other, yet
it appears to be dying daily.
Even when I think it may be springing forth, the next day or so, all the leaves will be yellow and curled inward. Yet, it still hangs there, with three or four struggling leaves the way it has been for four years. I actually thought about throwing it out the other day, figuring there was no hope for it.

Ironically, a lot of Christians are the same way this plant is. They don’t grow or mature cause they skinny dip in their relationship with God. The only growth they receive is from someone else and the only roots they have are in church services each week. So even though they aren’t “dead” they are barely living. Their roots are not expanding and they are not growing.

This is what changed my mind about throwing that plant out. It has potential. Thank God He sees our potential and not our current status. If God threw away all the Christians who spiritually looked like this vine plant, surely it would not leave a number no man can number (Revelation 7:9). However, if the Christian continues to skinny dip on God eventually He will spew them out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16).

You see He wants all that we can offer Him. He’s not coming back after a withered bride. He is not coming back after a Pastor who beat the areas attendance record that Sunday morning, with pews full of misled and misguided followers, with one foot in the world and one foot as a saint. He isn’t coming back after a choir that made it on TBN to sing. He is not coming back after golden seats and five hundred thousand dollar homes.

He’s not coming back after Christians who are occasionally living for Him without maturity or growth. He is not coming back after Christians who have no roots who have not produced new life, not only in themselves through His grace but in others through His manifestation of transformation in theirs.  God does not want a bunch of spiritual skinny dippers. He wants His Bride to be chunky dunkers! When we touch something that is supposed move, He wants to see an impact. We are called to be ambassadors for the Kingdom of Heaven. Leading people to the diving board of Christ.

He wants us fully submerged in Him! So my last questions for you are, are you a Skinny Dipper or a Chunky Dunker for God? If you were a plant, which one would you look like? If you aren’t growing, you might want to pray about where you are planted(church). Check your own pot (life) and make sure that your water isn’t full of insecticide (sin). Remember if the only time you can hear from God is through another man, something in your soil is jacked up.
