Until the Whole World Hears Tour Review

UNTIL THE WHOLE WORLD HEARS TOUR REVIEW WITH MATT REDMAN

On October 30, 2009 I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Casting Crowns and Matt Redman show in Akron, Ohio. Since then I have been trying to find a way to describe my experience. It’s hard to put into words the ministry that pours out of these two worship teams and the love and purpose behind why they do what they do.

Matt Redman blessed the 2500+ crowd with several of his best-known worship songs including “Blessed be your name” and “How great is your faithfulness”. He also mentioned how, though he was not born in America, he and his wife now “own their own American”. Of course he was speaking of their four children.

Casting Crowns whose new album is set to release on November 27, 2009 has been streaming the radio frequencies  since they entered the scene with their 2003 release simply titled "Casting Crowns".  Smashing the radio waves and billboard charts with hits like "If We Are The Body", “Voice of Truth” and "Who Am I?".  In 2005 the Album went Platinum. Though they began playing together in 1999, God’s timing has since brought them to the forefront of the Christian Music Industry where I am sure they will remain for many more years to come.

Me With Megan Garrett (Piano and vocals)
Each member of the group is involved in their home church as youth leaders and they never travel on Sunday. They are also very enthusiastic about helping those who are less fortunate, just as their first hit song “If we are the body” suggests.

Me With Lead Singer Mark Hall
Front man Mark Hall spoke of his struggles as a young man with ADD and dyslexia and how God gives him strength to walk in Faith knowing God will lead his footsteps.

“Don’t fail to do anything, simply because you can’t do everything”.
As he was speaking about World Vision, which is one of the outreaches that the band stands behind and with to help sponsor children.

“God picks the less than ordinary to the extraordinary”
Mark said as he paused before the band performed “Voice of Truth”. Then he asks the crowd,
"What have you done with the truth of His Son? Does anything come between you and God that is keeping others from seeing Him in you?"

It was an honor to be able to meet them and to take part in a worship service that wasn’t just “entertaining” but it was moving and convicting and motivated my spirit to repentance. One must ask oneself, “What am I doing with the truth of His Son?” It’s a question many don’t want to face, yet it is better to be honest with God seeking Him on your face- then to walk behind a Stained Glass Masquerade and try to fool yourself.
